Who wants some lemonade?

Well, it’s winter and the weather has been giving us lemons.  This morning I found myself hovering over a pot of boiling water to take the chill off.  The past few days have been foul.  I’m ready for Spring even though it’s not even Christmas yet.  Oh well.  During the winter months I usually put the camera down and take a break.  Who wants to be outside running around in the cold anyway?  Once my water was done, and my coffee was in hand, I went to the window.  For some reason I found today’s weather intriguing.  The fog and humidity have been thick for days now, but today it was beautiful.   I got my camera out and found myself on a route that is very familiar to me.  The back roads of Nolensville are a second home for me.  Thought I would go visit them and oddly enough enjoy this weather.  My first stop was a field that my husband and I often stop to pet the horses.  I forgot my carrots, but they still came to say hi.

After almost having my down coat eaten I moved on.

One of the thing I love to photograph are roadways.  Especially places that I love.

I’ve seen this tree many times, but I’ve never seen this tree before……..

Same tree……I think I really like it!

On my way back into town I saw this old gas pump.  I’ve been meaning to photograph it for months.

Well, all said and done, lemonade was made.  What a great day!  :o )

Hey, that’s my day too!!!!

Tiffany and Michael tied the knot on Nov. 15th of this year.  This is also the day the I was celebrating my 11th wedding anniversary.  My husband was sad to see me go to work, but I couldn’t have been happier to share this day with them!  Tiffany quickly found a place in my heart from the first time we met, and man what an amazing couple!

It was rainy and cold the day Chris and I got married, and it was also rainy and cold for Tiffany and Michael.  I told her that if she didn’t like that kind of weather before the wedding that she would love it after that day.  I associate the backbone chills and wetness with happiness.  I guess the lesson is that on YOUR DAY if it rains, snows, sunshiny, gray, warm or cold then you’re going to love that weather after you marry the one you love.

Nesrin and Scott

Nesrin and Scott’s engagement session was done downtown near and on the Shelby Street Bridge.  I love that area so much, and shooting there comes very easily.  Aren’t they beautiful!!!!!

We actually did the shoot the week of Thanksgiving.  Man it was cold!!!!  They hung in there like champs.  We also got a bunch of pictures without their coats.  They looked like it was freakin’ May outside.
